A fun-filled weekend comes to an end as our visitors part ways this Sunday. The memories left behind are captured through this video…it’s hilarious :D
it all starts on monday, august 18th, 2008. 10 people are gonna be missing work on Tuesday…well the ones that work anyway :)

we all took the back portion of an American Airlines flight to Miami, FL at 10:45p.m. that Monday night. One person was left behind due to a name change on the passport. Poor Kenny finally got up to the front counter at 10:15. At that time, people were already boarding the plane and the doors were just about to close. As we approached the gate to board after a non fulfilling meal at Burger King, Kenny calls and says he can’t make it onto the flight. We waited outside the AA gate 43 for about 30 seconds, and the flight attendants were being a real bitch about closing the door on us if we don’t go in now. We didn’t want to have to wait until morning for another Miami flight, so I took the initiative to get the party on board.
As we waited on the plane, it took 30 minutes just to leave, and we wondered why they wouldn’t just let Kenny go on board. With situations like this, to avoid all complications, there’s too many factors in place. The name change on the passport, license, and all traveling documents must have the same name. Even if just one name is different, it could be a disaster.
The flight takes about 5 hours to get there.
so i’m traveling approximately 42 miles one way to work, so a total 84 miles a day. surely that’s going to break the bank…whatever i’ve got in it anyways. so today i wrote it all down. let’s just say my car gets 25 mpg, that would be 1.68 galons one way or 3.36 both ways. that’s only if i don’t go anywhere else other than to work and back… the avg. price per gallon of 87 octane is $4.60, correct me if i’m wrong, that equates to $15.47 a day! Holy crap!
imagine if i were to drive every weekday without carpool, that’ll be about $78 a week. now i only drive at most 3 times a week. that’ll save me 30 bucks at least a week for alcohol…you know, after a long day’s worth of work, you gotta relax somehow right? yea i’m tryin to cut down on that as well, since it’s all going to the gasoline fund.
i’m hoping that we don’t experience any tornadoes while we’re there.

I hope everyone in LA a very good weekend. I’ll be back for back to back parties soon! :)
I went to San Francisco over the weekend with a few friends. I’ve never been there before and it was a very eventful trip. We went sightseeing at the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard St, Coit Tower, and Fisherman’s Wharf. I’ve tried to keep a track of logs throughout the entire trip through photos, enjoy my weekend.
3/8/08 - departure from my house was suppose to be at 6a.m. I woke up promptly at 5:15a.m. to call everyone and have their butts up. Zheng came by at 6:30a.m., just 30 minutes shy of the departure time. Kevin called a little bit later saying that he was sick, so we had extra space in the car. That gave me the chance to call Joe and see if Sinny and him wanted to go ride with us. So I decided to go pick up Deannie first and than go to Joe’s and everyone could join in on the ride. We ended up leaving at 8:20a.m. That’s right folks…2 hours and 20 minutes shy of the anticipated departure time. lol here are the pictures from that day on the way up:
Check out my twin, found him on the way!

Is a Wednesday night…at least to return items. I returned my SD750 due to its size. In place of it, I got an SD1000, the one with the black eye that no one seems to be fond of except yours truly. The small form factor compliments the huge D80 that I lug around, so it sits just in my shirt pocket or pants and I won’t notice it there until it’s ready to be used. When I had the SD750, it would go in my pocket, but there’s a slight bulkiness to it…device is gone and out of my hands.
Here are some pictures that I took from the SD1000 already :) On top of that, we went out to lunch with a vey good friend, Virginie. We went to Pasta Bravo and had a quick lunch. She picked us up from work, what a sweetheart :)

The whitebalance was quite off on the camera due to it being on automatic, but I’ll be able to play around with it this weekend.
Remember gas prices when they were just a little below $1.00 a gallon…and then remember when it was just above, well those days are gone now. 2 or 3 years from now, we’ll look back and say ‘remember when gas prices were just a little below $3.00 a gallon’, well, here’s a picture before the years roll by and we don’t have proof of that. Enjoy folks…this was taken February 6, 2008. The location was at Costco in Fountain Valley…I went earlier today and it was at $3.59, that’s right folks, within one month, it jumped 60 cents!

I got out of work at 8.00p.m., drove home at a comfortable 80mph and eventually arrived safely at 9.00p.m. I tried calling a round of people to go out to Cabana in Hollywood last night. A few said they would go, mainly the guys…of course. Since it was a last minute kind of ordeal, the girls all had plans to go out either somewhere else or was going to go clubbing on Saturday instead.
I quickly changed into something more Club appropriate and waited for the others to arrive. Zheng came by and Kevin right after. Kevin drove us in his cool C32 AMG…all 349 horses carried us to our final destination on ivar and sunset. Along the way, we picked up another dood by the name of Soung (SP?). A Korean fella that can hold his soju like any other Korean…(at least the ones I’ve seen in the Korean dramas).
We arrive with precision timing as all of us (3 cars worth, coming from different directions) came within 5 minutes of arrival. Impressive indeed, as usually people are 20-30 minutes off the clock. We even had time to get liquor on the way…Jack and Coke…not a good mix in a situation where your stomach is hungry for food. I took a quick swift of the glass, tilted the bottom up, and I was swept by the alcohol. I could feel the heat rising and on the count of three, we were walking toward the front gates to…I’m not exactly what to call it. It could be heaven or it could be hell…depends on what my intentions were. :D
I prepped my D80, bouncecard attached, flash with energized Eneloop batteries, and we’re good to go. I called up John from Whisper LA and got us in with a table reservation, and we’re in!
Met some old buddies, here’s Mui’s little brother John:
